An Introduction to Social Determinants

Part II: Housing

Free and Open to the Public

Wednesday, March 21st

10:00am to 12:00pm

State Capitol, Room 411-South

Our health is not just driven by what happens in a doctor's office, or by our habits and behaviors, but also by the conditions in which we live, grow, work, and learn. Collectively these are referred to as social and environmental determinants of health, and include educationincomeemployment, family and social supportcommunity safety, air and water quality, and housing and transit.

Join us for the second in a series of Capitol briefings that will address how each of those factors impact health. The first session in this series, held in November 2017, dealt with family and social support. The next in the series will address housing, including data on housing stability in Wisconsin, information on public and private initiatives that link housing and health, and considerations for policymakers.

Stay tuned for more details on speakers for this panel.
